Troubleshooting

I encounter an issue when installing the Oneflow app.

Please grant the required permissions to the Oneflow app and try again.

To resolve this error:

  • Click on the Retry button on the page, then click Allow when prompted to grant the necessary permissions.
  • OR
    Navigate to the Oneflow app page in Slack's App Directory, click on Add to Slack, then click on Allow when prompted.
Reinstall Oneflow in Slack
  • Navigate to the Oneflow app page in Slack's App Directory, click on Add to Slack, then click on Allow when prompted.
The server encountered an unexpected error. Please try again.
  • Click on the Retry button on the page, then click Allow when prompted to grant the necessary permissions.

I encounter an issue when connecting Oneflow to Slack

It seems you do not have a Oneflow account yet.
  • Click on the Create account button in the Slack message, and follow the instructions on the page. After creating your account, follow the steps in Getting started with Oneflow x Slack.
It looks like you've received an invitation to [email] to use the Oneflow app please accept the invitation by clicking on the link in the email. Once done click the button below.
  • To use the Oneflow app, you need to accept the invitation sent by Oneflow to activate your account.
  • Check your inbox for an email from Oneflow with the subject line "Welcome to Oneflow". Open the email, then click on Get started now.
Connect your Oneflow account (as an administrator)
  1. Login to Oneflow from an administrator account.
  2. Enable the Slack extension in Oneflow using the toggle, then click on the Setup button. You will be redirected to the Oneflow app in Slack.
Note:
  • Ensure the email address associated with your Oneflow account matches the one in your Slack account.
  • If you disable and re-enable the Slack extension in Oneflow, your token will be invalidated and you will be disconnected from the Oneflow app in Slack. To reconnect your account to the Oneflow app in Slack, click on the Slack card, then click on the Setup button.
Please ask your Oneflow administrator to ensure the Slack extension is set up in the company's Oneflow account.
Note:
Ensure the email address associated with your Oneflow account matches the one in your Slack account.
  • To use the Oneflow app in Slack as a non-admin user, your company’s Oneflow account should already be connected to Slack.
  • Contact your administrator and ask them to perform the following.
    • Login to Oneflow as an administrator.
    • Go to Admin > Extensions enable the Slack extension, then click on the Setup button and follow the instructions that appear.
Account inactive - Your Oneflow account is currently inactive. Please contact your Oneflow administrator to activate your account, then try again.

Your Oneflow account needs to be in an active state to use the Oneflow app in Slack. Only a Oneflow administrator can activate an account.

If you are an administrator:

  1. Go to Admin > Users
  2. Click on the three dots button corresponding to the relevant user then select Activate.
When I click on the Setup button in Oneflow, I am redirected to Slack’s create an account page.

Scenario:

You have not signed in to a Slack account or do not have a Slack account. As a Oneflow administrator, you navigate to Admin > Extensions > Slack in Oneflow and click on the Setup button. You then get redirected to Slack’s login page.

Solution:

  • To use the Oneflow Slack app, ensure you have created a Slack account and a workspace.
  • Recommended: Login to your Slack account before clicking the Setup button.
